Quinn's motto for life?

Do everything you possibly can, as fast as you possibly can, and if you can make a lot of noise, all the better!

Subtle he is not!
Fun he is!

"Ch Hillcrest Jigsaw CDX ADX-B", otherwise known as "The mighty Quinn" "Quinn-the-Man", and various other sillier names, is my main man, and came to me on Boxing day '98 as an 8 week old baby.

Of course that cute baby stage didn't last long, and he is now very much the Man-Dog, and thinks he's the biggest bravest dog ever! Far be it from me to disillusion him.  ;-)

He managed to almost drown himself once, in a deep pool, trying to retrieve a log that probably weighed as much or more than he did - he was going down, but nothing was going to make him let go of his quarry.
Fortunately my friend managed to reach out and kick it out of his mouth, and then he came out of the water coughing and spluttering!

Quinn loves to run and chase things the same way Sherry does, but he does everything with great enthusiasm and a total lack of restraint--he is lovable, but NOT a gentleman--perhaps in time…. <sigh>  not yet :-)

  • four years later…. - nope, still not a gentleman :-) I don't think he's ever going to be a gentleman!
  • Welshies seem to start to show some maturity around 2.5 yrs old for the girls, and about 3 yrs old for the boys.

Quinn has been a competition obedience dog and a conformation show dog. He is now competing in Novice/Intermediate level agility. He started training for agility at the age of 2 1/2.
He gained his championship, at 15 months of age and started competing in obedience a the tender age of 1
