The Foyer The Foyer is approximately 1400 square feet in size.  It is the central portion of the house.  The rooms leading off it are the Library, the Dining room, the Bavarian room and the Drawing room.  There is also an entrance to the Butler's pantry that leads through to the main kitchen.

The woodwork in the foyer was executed by the same workmen responsible for the Bavarian Room.

All the major rooms of the house except the Bavarian Room have pressed metal ceilings.  The one at the left is a (not very good) detail of the Dining Room ceiling.
